Thank you Boston Pizza for your donation of gift cards that were given out as part of our prizes and for the delicious pizzas for our luncheon that was held at the Thunder Bay Christian School with Mrs. Voorman's Grade 7/8 class for the best participation.
Thank you Staples for your generous support. The laptop was given as a prize for best participation out of all the schools: Crestview, Kakabeka Falls, Valley Central and Thunder Bay Christian School. On behalf of the Oliver Paipoonge Fire and Emergency Services, we would like to thank Enbridge Gas In.c for awarding the Community Improvement Grant, through their Helping Hands in Action program, to the Oliver Paipoonge Fire Department. The grant helped purchase supplies for the construction of a training prop. We would also like to thank Kam Ridge Manufacturing for donating the pre-engineered trusses to the project.
With the help from the Thunder Bay Enbridge Team and the Oliver Paipoonge Fire & Emergency Services a ventilation training prop was constructed, through the Helping Hands in Action Program. This prop will help firefighters practice rooftop ventilation in a controlled and safe manner so when the time comes; they can quickly, efficiently and safely ventilate the roof of the structure that's on fire.
With companies like Enbridge and Kam Ridge giving back, the Oliver Paipoonge Services can improve the services in which they serve the community.
