Restricted Fire Zone has been lifted

At 12:01 a.m. on May 16, 2020, Ontario is lifting the Restricted Fire Zone (RFZ) designation that was put in place last month across Ontario's fire region.

The news release can be found at https://news.ontario.ca/mnr/en/2020/05/ontario-ready-to-respond-to-wildland-fire-season.html

All burning permits that have been issued in the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge will be re-instated effective 12:01 Saturday May 16, 2020. Our online burn permit system will be re-activated and local issuing locations (Lulu's Variety& Deli, Rosslyn Service, Valley Foods and Wildwoode Variety) will once again start issuing burning permits. All burning permits issued prior to the RFZ are still valid.

As a reminder, there is NO DAY TIME BURING ALLOWED during the fire season, and you must follow the conditions outlined on the permit. If it is windy please don't burn!
