To whom it may concern,

The Corporation of the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge retained TBT Engineering Limited to assist
with an application for a Class A, Category 3 aggregate license through the Ontario Ministry of
Natural Resources & Forestry for the expansion of their existing pit (no. # 610461).  A Category 3
aggregate license is for a pit operation that remains at least 1.5 metres above the established
groundwater table. The application consisted of the application form, summary statement, technical
reports, and site plans, meeting the requirements of the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA), Aggregate
Resources of Ontario Provincial Standards, and was deemed complete and assigned #626534.  The
application has now entered the notification and consultation process requiring a Public Notice of
Application.

The property is located approximately 20 km west of Thunder Bay, on Everett Drive in Oliver
Paipoonge at approximately 5371455 N, 311654 E (UTM Zone 16U, NAD83), and occupies Lots 11 and 12,
Concession 5, Township of Oliver Paipoonge, District of Thunder Bay.  The proposed licence area is
approximately 28 ha and the quantity of material to be removed is anticipated to reach up to
999,999 tonnes/yr.

A combined open house and virtual information session will be held on Wednesday, October 13, at
5:30 pm
at the Murillo Community Hall (4569 Oliver Rd.) and will be presented by TBT Engineering on
behalf of the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge.  The videoconferencing component of the information
session will utilize Microsoft Teams, a Microsoft videoconferencing app.

In preparation for the information session, the documents supporting the aggregate licence
application and the videoconference registration can be accessed online by using this address:

A limited number of hard copy documents will be available at the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge’s
main address at 3250 Highway 130, Rosslyn, ON, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  One
permanent copy will remain at this address for the duration of the notification and consultation
process.  Please call ahead (807 935 2613).

Any person(s) wishing to comment on this application must send, in writing, their comments to the
Applicant (btrevisan@tbte.ca) and send copy to: ARAapprovals@ontario.ca or if email is not
available, Integrated Aggregate Operations Section, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, 300
Water Street, Peterborough ON K9J 3C7.  The last day on which comment(s) may filed with the
Applicant and the Ministry is November 10, 2021.

Note: If you choose to participate in the ARA notification and consultation process, all personal
information (PI) you provide may be subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy
Act (FIPPA), whether provided to the Applicant or MNRF at any point during the consultation
process. The MNRF collects your PI under the authority of s. 11, s.13.1, s.23, s. 35 and other
provisions of the ARA and maintains it for the purposes of ensuring consultation and other
requirements in the ARA are met. Under the authority of s. 11(2),s.13.1(3), s.23(7), s.35(2) of the
ARA, your name and address will form part of the public record (that is available to the general
public as described in s 37 of FIPPA) and will appear with your comments, unless you request in
your submission that your name and address be kept confidential. If you have any questions about
