Appointments to Boards and Committees
NOTICE: Members required to serve on the following boards and committees
The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge is seeking individuals interested in serving on boards and committees that require residents/taxpayers to serve for the next four year term of Council 2022 - 2026. If you are interested in serving on one or more of these boards, please forward your Letter of Interest to Wayne Hanchard, CAO/Clerk indicating the skill sets you would bring to the Board/Committee that would be an asset.
COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT
5 Members to be Appointed
The Committee is empowered to perform such duties as prescribed by the Planning Act, such as minor variance applications to the Municipality’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law and exercises consent granting authority.
OLIVER PAIPOONGE MUSEUM BOARD
5 Members to be Appointed
The mission statement of the Oliver Paipoonge Museum Board is to research, collect, preserve and display items of historical relevance to the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge and open a window to access the community’s past.
OLIVER PAIPOONGE LIBRARY BOARD
5 Members to be Appointed
The Library Board is empowered to perform such duties as prescribed by the Public Libraries Act.
PROPERTY STANDARDS COMMITTEE
3 Members to be Appointed
The Property Standards Committee is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the provisions of the Municipality’s Property Standards By-law are maintained.
STANLEY HILL CEMETERY BOARD
5 Members to be Appointed
The Stanley Hill Cemetery Board is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the provisions of the Municipality’s Cemetery By-law, approved by the Registrar under the Funeral Burial & Cremation Services Act, 2002, are maintained.
Interested persons may submit a letter or email to the CAO/Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022.
