Oliver Paipoonge is the home of two historical museums that showcase the knowledge and artifacts of the past making history fun to learn.  The Duke Hunt Historical Museum and Founders' Museum & Pioneer Village both have very interesting stories to tell preserving the history of our community and region. The Duke Hunt Historical Museum

Come explore the history of Slate River Valley: sit in a replica turn of the century school room; meet the men and women who went to war for us; walk through a vintage historical kitchen equipped with spinning wheel, butter churns and many more kitchen tools.

Founders' Museum & Pioneer Village

Take a walk through the past in this unique Northwestern Ontario Pioneer Village. In your travel through time you will see and meet Paterson Pavilion, the Smithy, Williams Carpentry, the Community Hall, the Farm House, the Goodfellow's General Store, S.S. 1 Conmee School, the Teacherage, the Train Station, the Village Church, the Village Square, the Print Shop and the gift shop.
